What do you do when your oldest heads off to a new middle school without any friends?  What do you do when 6th grade girls don't seem to notice your sweet, adorable, daughter after 4 days?  What do you do when you are both in tears over moving her from some of the best role models you could have ever hoped for?

Keep on hoping, wishing, and praying for a friend like this one to come into her life.

Coldest Winter I Ever Spent...

...was a summer in San Francisco.  Love this city, love the food, love seeing family we haven't seen in a while, love the cool weather.  Loved this short sweet weekend away!

Way back in June we were lucky enough to head to Berkeley, CA for my beautiful cousin's wedding.  The bride was gorgeous and the groom as equally handsome.  Somehow I don't seem to have a picture of Andrew and Megan together.  I really need to work on my photo skills.

Grace loved being part of the wedding day activites.

Before the wedding we hurried off to San Francisco for a quick look at a few of the town's sights.  Pier 39's sea lions.

No one wanted to miss out on Berkely's famous concrete slide.  What kind of parents would let their children ride down this thing on cardboard?

We're Back!

Where have we been?  The question should be where haven't we been.  Since February we have moved...twice, visited many fun places and had a few exciting adventures.  Can't wait to get caught up!  

What to do when your 5 year old goes off to school!

Charlotte and I were talking about school next year.  The conversation went like this...

Claudia..."Charlotte, what am I going to do next year when you are gone all day to school?"

Charlotte..."Well, first mom you need to get a boyfriend."

Might have to run this one by Blake first.

I am not smarter than a 5th grader!

HELP!  When did my oldest pass up my math skills?  Anyone remember how to figure out subtraction with mixed numbers?  I need my own teachers edition.

Some New Pictures from My Favorite Photographer!

After wasting precious time by posting some pictures on Facebook, I realized that I hadn't ever posted our photo shoot from last October.  Most of you know our photographer but if you don't leave me a comment and I'll send you her info.

Not too many pictures of Caroline.  Every year we have at least one of them that does not cooperate and ends up crying.  This year I was shocked when Caroline decided to express her inner feelings of photo shoots.  She was grumpy, grouchy, hungry and tired!  It did not help that she had gone to a slumber party the night before and had stayed up until 2:00am.  

Thank goodness we did get a few smiles out of all of those girls!
